*HYMN “O Come, All Ye Faithful”
O come, all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant,
O come ye, o come ye, to Bethlehem.
Come and behold Him,
Born the King of angels;
*Refrain*
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
Christ the Lord.
True God of true God, Light from Light Eternal,
Lo, he shuns not the Virgin’s womb;
Son of the Father, begotten, not created.
{Refrain}
Sing, choirs of angels, sing in exultation;
O sing, all ye citizens of heaven above!
Glory to God, all glory in the highest;
{Refrain}
WE PRAY AS A CHURCH FAMILY
PASTORAL PRAYER Rev. Brent Porterfield
THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.
Amen.
*APOSTLES’ CREED
I believe in God the Father, Almighty, maker of heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord:
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered
under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried;
The third day He rose from the dead;
He ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of
God the Father Almighty;
From thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church,
The communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins,
The resurrection of the body,
And the life everlasting.
Amen.
*GLORIA PATRI
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost.
As it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen. Amen.
HYMN “O Little Town of Bethlehem”
O little town of Bethlehem,
How still we see the lie;
Above thy deep and dreamless sleep the silent stars go by.
Yet in thy dark streets shineth the everlasting light;
The hopes and fears of all the years are met in thee tonight.
O holy Child of Bethlehem,
Descend to us, we pray;
Cast out our sin, and enter in,
Be born in us today.
We hear the Christmas angels the great tidings tell;
O come to us, abide with us,
Our Lord Emmanuel!
WE OFFER OUR GIFTS TO THE LORD
OFFERING OF OUR TITHES AND GIFTS
*DOXOLOGY OF PRAISE
Praise God, from whom all blessings flow;
Praise him, all creatures here below;
Praise him above, ye heavenly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen
WE HEAR AND RESPOND TO THE LORD
PRAYER OF ILLUMINATION Unison
Lord, open our hearts and minds by the power of Your Holy Spirit
that, as the Scriptures are read and Your Word proclaimed,
we may hear with joy what You say to us today.

SERMON “Let It Be” Rev. Brent Porterfield

HYMN OF INVITATION “It Came Upon a Midnight Clear”
It came upon a midnight clear,
That glorious song of old,
From angels bending near the earth,
To touch their harps of gold:
“Peace on the earth, good will to men,
From heaven’s all gracious King.”
The world in solemn stillness lay,
To hear the angels sing.
Still through the cloven skies they come
with peaceful wings unfurled,
And still their heavenly music floats
o’er all the weary world;
Above its sad and lowly plains,
They bend on hovering wing,
And ever o’er its Babel sounds the blessed angels sing.
For lo! The days are hastening on,
By prophet seen of old,
When with the ever circling years
shall come the time foretold
when peace shall over all the earth
its ancient splendors fling,
And the whole world send back the song
which the angels sing.
