On of the biggest celebrations of jazz around the world is coming to the White house. On April 29th, President Obama plans to celebrate International Jazz Day by hosting a blockbuster concert featuring Aretha Franklin, Al Jarreau, Sting, Herbie Hancock and many other musicians at the cutting edge of jazz. ABC will air the concert on April 30th, the 50th anniversary of International Jazz Day. There are hundreds of educational events, concerts, and service programs to celebrate jazz across the United states and around the world. Over 2.8 billion people participated in International Jazz Day last year.
