HIV remains a condition that is misunderstood and feared in modern times. How does one go on with one’s life when even his own family turn their back on him because of his condition?

Hua possess two qualities that are often misunderstood and discriminated by the public – he’s homosexual and he’s contracted with HIV. He had thus been shunned by his own family, and even needs the help from homeless shelter to get by. His only companion in his dim-lit room is a Kṣitigarbha statue, and a picture of his deceased godbrother. In a situation that appears dispairing, he still combact this prejudice in his way – he initiates “HIV Hugs” on every corner of the street. Hua, who’s also a believer of Mazu, hopes to one day be able to call to the homosexual community and walk with the Mazu Procession, one of the most important precessions in Taiwan, and help the public better understand the HIV and homosexual community.

華鵬是一位愛滋病帶原者，也是媽祖的信徒，夢想有天能號招全台灣的同志朋友帶著彩虹旗，跟著媽祖去遶境，他總自己一人在家，在昏暗的燈光下，陪伴他的是尊地藏王菩薩與他已逝世的乾哥的照片。

大甲媽祖遶境是台灣非常重要的一場宗教盛事，人們會拿著代表媽祖的子弟兵的令旗，跟隨媽祖走過300公里的路程。 華鵬是一位男同志，也是愛滋病帶原者，總是自己一個人默默的在街頭舉辦「愛滋抱抱」，而他也是媽祖的信徒，夢想有天能號招全台灣的同志朋友帶著彩虹旗，跟著媽祖去遶境，雖然他的生活看似輕鬆，但是很難想像他的過去經歷過被家人趕出家，甚至依靠中途之家救濟。現在的華鵬總自己一人在家，在昏暗的燈光下，陪伴他的是尊地藏王菩薩與他已逝世的乾哥的照片。
