We provide a range of high-quality care, including nursing care, residential dementia care and residential care, shaped by our residents’ personal and cultural needs. Our team also pride themselves on the support we give to their loved ones. The reassuring voice at the end of the phone or a hug on harder days, our caring staff give Rowanweald that family feel.
And we are not alone in thinking so. The Care Quality Commission (CQC), the care sector watchdog, rated us ‘Good’ across every area, including “Caring”. Inspectors spoke with staff, residents and their families. One of the countless lovely comments in the glowing report read: “It’s a great privilege to be here and we are treated with dignity and respect”.
Tucked behind Harrow’s high street, our residential and nursing home is set away from the hustle and bustle of London and surrounds a pretty central courtyard garden.
Rowanweald boasts another outdoor space which holds a special place in all our hearts. ‘Helen’s Rooftop Garden’ is a beautiful spot, with potted sensory plants and comfortable seating. The garden is named after a resident who has sadly passed away and is situated on the secure balcony of the home. The area is a real focal point, especially in the warmer months. It’s our very own sun terrace and is a lovely place for residents receiving residential care to socialise.
We have an activities timetable filled with stimulating group and person-centred activities. One day you can find us hosting a dementia café for people from the local Harrow community. The next we could be transporting our residents into the heart of Australia to discover new flavours and cultures in the heart of the home.
