Yoga provides a sweet antidote for the times we feel the pull of melancholy and need some relief. Through a delightful blend of breathwork, divine stretches and liberating movements we return to a natural state of joy and bliss.

Our class begins with sharing a bit of context for how yoga supports us in hosting and moving through “feeling” back to a place of “being”.

We center with a calming breath while holding a powerful Shakti Mudra. This energetic seal formed with our hands invites us to hold the creative stirrings of Universe, supporting us in transforming energies that do not serve us. As well, we host the potent sonic formula of a mantra that inspires Shakti Kundalini energy, inviting us back to a natural space of joyful union and connection. Next we warm the body with a series of seated stretches that soften and open our bodies to receive the fullest expressions of the postures. The asana flow takes us through nurturing and liberating sequences that include: child’s pose variations, flowing twists, barrel-roll cat stretches, rolling hip lifts, melting heart, open gates, stirring the sky mountain poses, half moons, flowing warriors, triangle and resting twists. The class concludes with a guided relaxation in Savasana, accompanied by the soothing chant of the Shakti mantra.
