In connection with Anthology Film Archives’ online film series, “5 FILMS BY HSIN CHI”, which will be streaming for free from November 17-30, we invited the Taiwanese film scholar Chi-Heng SU to record an introduction to the films FOOLISH BRIDE, NAIVE BRIDEGROOM (1967), DANGEROUS YOUTH (1969), and THE RICE DUMPLING VENDORS (1969).

Chih-Heng SU is a former researcher at the Taiwan Film Institute, the author of “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood Taiwan: The Life And Death Of Taiwanese Hokkien Cinema”, and a specialist on Taiwanese-Language Cinema.

5 FILMS BY HSIN CHI has been organized in collaboration with the Taiwan Film and Audiovisual Institute (TFAI), and is presented with generous support from the Taipei Cultural Center of TECO in New York.
