David’s Legacy
2 Samuel 24:10-25
We’re finishing off our sermon series on the rises and falls in the life of King David with a look at his legacy. We may expect David’s story to end on a high note, but today’s passage is about another of David’s failings. More important than David’s elevation is the implication that even David, a man after God’s own heart, needed a savior, and so do we.

TRUNK OR TREAT
Severn KiDS is hosting a Trunk or Treat at Severn Covenant Church in the gravel parking lot at the building on Saturday, October 30th, from 3PM to 5PM. Activities will include pumpkin painting, a bouncy house, and of course, the trunk-or-treat itself. The event is also an opportunity to donate to Sarah’s House, a program to assist families experiencing homelessness in Anne Arundel County. For full details and a list of goods to donate, visit SEVERN.CC/TRUNK-OR-TREAT

HOPE FOR ALL
Through our partnership with Hope for All, we have the opportunity to serve people living in Anne Arundel County. For almost 2 decades, Hope for All has worked to improve the quality of life in our community by providing furniture, household items, clothing and shoes to families and individuals experiencing economic hardship. You can help support the important work they are doing by volunteering a few hours of your time at the next Serve Saturday on October 30. Learn more by visiting SEVERN.CC/SERVE

POP-UP PANTRY
Our next pop-up pantry will be held on Saturday, October 23 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Quarterfield Elementary School as we seek to serve the community with free groceries for those who are struggling in this time of need.

NEXT STEPS
Next Steps is a relaxed environment designed to make it easy for you to discover who we are and learn why we do what we do. On October 24 from 11:30 to 12:30PM, those attending Next Steps will meet others who are new to Severn and spend time learning about the different ways they can be a part of what God is doing at Severn Covenant Church.

COVID-19 RESPONSE
As of now, masks are not required for in-person services, whether indoors or outdoors. However, masks will be required in Severn KiDS classrooms and check-in areas.
