From July 20th – 25th, NeighborLink Fort Wayne will be hosting our 4th annual “Neighbor Week.” Over the course of this week, we will have organized projects available for anyone to join us at any point in the week for a few hours, an entire day, or even the entire week. We know that getting started with any new volunteer opportunity can be intimidating, so we’re going to do all the hard work so you can show up, engage, and learn more about how small things can transform neighborhoods with a little hard work.
NL will organize a variety of projects that anyone can show up and volunteer for. These are great projects for individuals or small groups of people that want to benefit from an organized project.
NL staff is also prepared to help teams of any size find their own project for this week. For instance, if you have 5 people from your workplace and you’d like to do yard work from 3-5pm on Thursday, we can help you find a project. Just let us know if you need this help.
Come alone, bring a friend, your workplace, your family, or anyone that you think would love to volunteer this week. Join us as we help vulnerable neighbors with tangible home repairs and maintenance so their quality of life can be improved. Neighbors helping neighbors is never a bad thing.
