Durational film, bronze and rubber bands

This is a bronze sculpture in the shape of a coordinate on a geographical location that is squeezed and bent by external forces. The terrain coordinates are suspended between the two tension forces. The translucent elastic absorbs the pulsation of the environment and the pull of the weight of the geographical location itself. Interact with each other. My body is a human tripod for the filming process here. I hold my breath to capture the tremor of the geographical location until I can’t anymore.

Taiwan is located in the submerged belt at the junction of the Eurasian Plate and the Philippine Sea Plate. Many special landforms are produced due to the subduction and compression between plates with heterogeneous characteristics.
